Descriptions: Rosuvastatin is an inhibitor of 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A (HMG-CoA) reductase, the rate-limiting enzyme that converts 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A to mevalonate, a precursor of cholesterol. |
Indications: • Hyperlipidemia |
Dosage: 5-40 mg once daily. Initially 5-10 mg once daily increased if necessary at intervals of at least 4 weeks to 20 mg once daily. Daily dose can be increased after further 4 weeks to 40 mg only in severe hypercholesterolaemia with high cardiovascular risk and under specialist supervision. Elderly initially 5 mg once daily. |
Packing: Each box contains 10 strips of 10 tablets each. |

Descriptions: Amlodipine is a Dihydropyridine Calcium antagonist that inhibits the transmembrane influx of Calcium ions into cardiac and vascular smooth muscle. It has greater affinity towards vascular smooth muscle than on cardiac muscle. Amlodipine is peripheral vasodilator that acts directly on vascular smooth muscle to cause a reduction in peripheral vascular resistance and thereby reduces blood pressure. Amlodipine reduces tone, decreases coronary vasoreactivity and lowers cardiac oxygen demand by reducing after load. |
Indications: Patients with essential hypertension; Patients with angina pectoris & hypertension as co-existing diseases; In post MI patients; In patients with refractory angina pectoris where nitrate therapy has failed. |
Dosage: The recommended dosage is one tablet daily. If necessary, the dosage may be increased to two tablets daily or as advised by the physicians. The dosage however should be individualized. |
Packing: Each box contains 10 Alu-Alu strips of 10 tablets each |
